About the role
You'll own core services that thousands of developers depend on — from the query layer and real-time sync to the SDKs they ship with. A high-ownership role with a direct line to founders and customers.
What you'll do
- Design and build the services behind our database, auth, and storage products, optimizing for latency and correctness.
- Own systems end to end: design docs, implementation, rollout, on-call, and the iteration that follows real usage.
- Shape the SDK and API surface developers touch first.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years building backend systems in production, comfortable in Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
- Strong fundamentals in databases and distributed systems — you've debugged a gnarly query plan or two.
- A bias for shipping and clear written communication.
